Here are some pictures of the R-520 parts set that I acquired on January 4, 2005. I intend to restore this set and use parts from my other R-520 project. Remaining parts will most likely be sold. I have listed a few quick notes about this radio. More details to come as this set progresses.

The chassis is complete, and has the orange signal corps stamps on it
Has an original wave magnet
Has all the clips for all the spare parts
The frequency bezel is immaculate
The dial bezel has a crack extending from the tuning knob to the center of the dial pointer
The foam around the speaker is melting or has some black goop on it, and it is stuck to the inside of the speaker grill on the dial bezel
The radio came with a fused power plug just like the R-520A
Chassis has been repaired at one time, the 130 ohm resistor has been replaced. The original may have gotten extremely hot at one time, because the cabinet shelf has a burn mark on it.
Except for the rear door, all of the original oilcloth covering was removed and the cabinet was varnished.
The antenna is the correct dull grey color, but the brown tip has been replaced with a black tip, just like the R-520A.
