Hello, my name is Shawn Kuyvenhoven, I am 27, live in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada, and I have been collecting and restoring radios (at least, attempting to) for about 12 years. It all started when I built a crystal radio, then grew when a friend of mine, Hans Alderliesten, gave me a Westinghouse console radio and a tube tester. Now I have about 25 radios, some consoles, some tabletops, some military equipment, even a few European radios. On some of my earlier restorations, I didn't do a very good job on the refinishing, so I will have to redo them in the future. For now, they look good, work good, and make great conversation pieces.

The highlights of my collection include a 1924 Radiola III with Cunningham C-11's and a pair of Brandes headphones, a 1925 Grebe Synchrophase MU1, a Magnavox R3-B speaker horn, and a Rockwell Collins HF 2050 communications receiver. This site is still under construction, but I intend to put pictures of my other radios here too. Right now my primary project is the R520.

My 1924 Radiola III with Cunningham C-11 tubes, original manual, and a pair of Brandes "Superior" Headphones, all in original working condition.

This is my Grebe MU1 Synchrophase, with 4 Cunningham CX-201A's and one Cunningham CX-112A for audio output. This radio hasn't been restored yet, it will be tackled after the R520.
